The Zeiss Ikon Nettar 6x6 is a folding medium format camera made in Germany by Zeiss around 1949.

PERSONAL NOTES

This was my third folding camera. They are quite cheap, they have narrow viewfinders and limited shutter speeds, but their optics are of much better quality than box cameras. On one side, the Zeiss Ikon Nettar 6x6 is better than my first folder camera, it's all metal, more robust, but is much more heavier, so on the other side, it was less pocketable. It produces 12 square images of 6x6cm on one roll of 120 film. The quality of the images is terrific.

CONCLUSION

If you want to have a compact medium format camera, folders are pretty much the best compromise. Not too limited, very compact for medium format, they generally give good quality images, and are filled with historical discoveries.
