INTRODUCTIONThe Yashica Lynx 14E is a 35mm film rangefinder camera made in Japan by Yashica in 1968. BEST SUITED FOR:
PERSONAL NOTESThe Yashica Lynx 14E is a more expensive version of the popular Yashica rangefinders of the 60s, because it has a 45mm f1.4 lens, which is the main reason people are looking for this camera. The best thing about this camera, is that it's cheap for big aperture rangefinder. Don't get me wrong, I like it, but the finder is very dim. It's ok to work outside, but forget it indoors. Too bad because it's indoors that using a f1.4 lens takes all its sense. CONCLUSIONThe Yashica Lynx 14E is cheap for a f1.4 lens camera. But you get what you pay for. If you want to experiment with rangefinders, get either a cheaper or more expensive version, but I would pass on the Lynx 14E. If you get one in bad shape, there is nothing to do with it. And if you get one in good shape, then you will in no time want to invest more and replace it with a better camera. PHOTO SAMPLESVERDICT:
