INTRODUCTIONThe Yashica Electro 35 CC is a 35mm film rangefinder camera made in Japan by Yashica between 1970 and 1975. BEST SUITED FOR:
PERSONAL NOTESThe Yashica Electro 35 CC is special version of the popular Yashica rangefinders of the 70s. What makes it so unique is that it has a wider lens that has a big aperture, a 35mm f1.8, which is good for many light conditions. The camera is fun to use, the exposure is aperture priority, or bulb. You need a PX28 battery to power the camera. I was told that the finder of the 35 CC was way better than other Yashicas. And as it was only distributed in Japan, I was able to beleive that. Well... Yes, its finder is better, but not that much. We are not in the Canon P or Leica range at all. But for a cheap rangefinder, it's just "ok". You can use it outside, but forget about using it inside. The best thing about this camera, is its focal lenght and aperture combo, which is rare in this type of cameras. CONCLUSIONThe Yashica Electro 35 CC is fun, a bit more expensive than other models because it has a rare 35mm f1.8 lens, which is rare in the 70s rangefinder era. If you need a cheap rangefinder that has a fast 35mm lens, this is it. If you want to experience a 70s rangefinder, there are many other cheaper models out there. PHOTO SAMPLESVERDICT:
