INTRODUCTIONThe Wester Autorol is a medium format film rangefinder folding camera made in Japan by Nishida around 1950. BEST SUITED FOR:
PERSONAL NOTESLike other medium format folding cameras, the Wester Autorol is very compact for its film size. The use of a coupled rangefinder make this camera very handy. As its name may indicate, there is a special mechanism to advance the film for the next shot, without having to look through a red window on the back. The lens of of great quality, sharpness in much better than what I expected. Wester also made lenses for other japanese camera manucafturers, like this Semi Leotax. CONCLUSIONThe Wester Autorol is an excellent rangefinder folding camera which is a bit rare, but available for a good price. PHOTO SAMPLESVERDICT:
