INTRODUCTIONThe Voigtlander Perkeo is a folding medium format camera made in Germany in 1951. BEST SUITED FOR:
PERSONAL NOTESFolding cameras are quite cheap, they have narrow viewfinders and limited shutter speeds, but their optics are of much better quality than box cameras. The Voigtlander Perkeo is more evolved than all my previous folder cameras, it's all metal, more robust, a bit more heavier, but it also has a small rangefinder. It produces 12 square images of 6x6cm on one roll of 120 film. The quality of the images is terrific. CONCLUSIONIf you want to have a compact medium format camera, folders are pretty much the best compromise. Not too limited, very compact for medium format, they generally give good quality images, and are filled with historical discoveries. PHOTO SAMPLESVERDICT:
