INTRODUCTIONThe rolleiflex 2.8C is a TLR medium format camera made in Germany by Franke & Heidecke between 1955 and 1957. BEST SUITED FOR:
PERSONAL NOTESThe Rolleiflex 2.8 series of TLR cameras is probably the best there is. Mine is the 2.8C type 2, and has the 80mm planar lens with 10 aperture blades, which gives a nicer bokeh. Like a Leica, the mechanics feels just right, and the optics is close to perfection. The Rolleiflex 2.8C is beautyful, a bit heavyer than other TLRs because of the wider aperture, but still is manageable. I have to say that the finder is very well designed, it's by far the best finder I used on a TLR camera. A lot of accessories are also available. The only drawback of this camera is the price, they are not cheap. CONCLUSIONIn my opinion, The rolleiflex 2.8C is the best TLR camera ever. PHOTO SAMPLESVERDICT:
