INTRODUCTIONThe Rolleicord V is a 120 film TLR camera made in Germany by Rollei in 1955. BEST SUITED FOR:
PERSONAL NOTESI love this camera. It does not have all the bells and whisles of the , but the built quality is on par, it's much cheaper, and most of all, but film advance and focus knobs are on the right side. I used many TLRs, and a big criteria for me is having andance and focus knobs on the right side. It just make more sense for me. I used to like my Yashica-A, but now that I have this Rolleicord, I prefer it over the other. Film advance is easier, it stops at the right spot, no need for the red window. The finder is ok, not too bright, but I use this camera during the day anyway. Changing the focussing screen for a brighter one would be nice, I suggest you do this investment if you use this camera often. Shutter button could be better placed. Right now, the shutter button is the same lever used for cocking the shutter. A part from that, this camera is a great TLR. My camera repairsman once told me that these Rolleicord are quite easy to repair. I haven't tried yet. CONCLUSIONDifficult to get better for your money. Perhaps a Yashica-A is cheaper, but the Rolleicord V is better in many ways. PHOTO SAMPLESVERDICT:
