INTRODUCTIONThe Pentax Auto 110 is a 110 cartridge film SLR camera made in Japan between 1978 and 1983. BEST SUITED FOR:
PERSONAL NOTESThe first thing that strikes you when seeing a Pentax Auto 110 for the first time is its size. It's like a puppy SLR, a really cute one. It's a very compact SLR, with a few interchangeable lenses to choose from, with rare accessories for this film size, it has a motor drive, flash, filters and so on... The Auto 110 uses 2 small batteries to power the meter and shutter, the film winding is smooth, you have to crank twice to advande to the next frame. It has a tripod socet and you can use a remote trigger. The only 2 drawbacks I found for this camera is that you cannot change the batteries without spoiling the filminside the camera, as you have to open the film door to change batteries. And obviously, the major drawback is that it uses 110 film, which has a small image size. As it uses 110 film, the biggest print you can do is no more than a 4x6 inches, otherwise the quality goes down. CONCLUSIONThe Pentax Auto 110 is very cute and surprising due to its size. You absolutely need to see one at least once in your life. I do not recommend anything that uses 110 film, but if I had only one camera to recommend for the 110 film, the Pentax Auto 110 would be it. If you try one with film, you will have a blast of fun! PHOTO SAMPLESVERDICT:
