INTRODUCTIONThe Pentax 645D is a medium format digital camera made in Japan in 2010. BEST SUITED FOR:
PERSONAL NOTESI played with this camera for a few minutes during a show. I was amazed by the fact this camera used simple SD cards, and by the amazing image quality. After comparing the images with the ones I took at the same event with my Nikon D800 at the time, I saw that the difference was not that huge. The Pentax costs a lot more and is just a tiny bit better. For me, in 2010, it was still not worth stepping into medium format digital, at that time, I ialready was able to print 40x60 photos out of the D800. CONCLUSIONThe Pentax 645D is a nice medium format camera, but smaller sensors are now able to do better for much less. PHOTO SAMPLESVERDICT:
