INTRODUCTIONThe Olympus OM-4T is a 35mm SLR camera made in Japan between 1983 and 1987. BEST SUITED FOR:
PERSONAL NOTESThe Olympus OM-4T (or Ti) is a better version of the OM-2. The "T" stands for titanium, which is a lighter and surdier material. Like its predecessor (OM-2), you can use the OM-4 in either manual mode or aperture priority. You absolutely need a battery to use this camera. Olympus addad a few buttons on the OM-4 for highlight and shadow exposure compensation, which is very useful in very bright ou in back light conditions. The meter can also be set to spot. This camera is very practical on the field. After using a lot of SLR cameras, I can appreciate the compactness and light weight of the Olympus system. The viewfinder on the OM-2 is nice and bright, the default screen has only microprism to focus, which is not my favourite, I personally prefer the split image over the microprism, but the matte screen can be changed on this model. The OM-2 also have access to many good lenses, and accessories. I would recommend this camera to anyone who needs a 35mm SLR that is compact and light. The scale inside the viewfinder changes wether you are using the camera in manual or auto (aperture priority) mode. It's intuitive, and easy to use. CONCLUSIONThe Olympus OM-4T is an excellent compact SLRi, probably the best of its line, just keep some extra batteries with you. Lenses are excellent, the system is compact, light and cheap.
