INTRODUCTIONThe Olympus OM-2 is a 35mm SLR camera made in Japan in 1975. BEST SUITED FOR:
PERSONAL NOTESThe Olympus OM-2 is an electronic version of the OM-1. You can use it in either manual mode or aperture priority. You absolutely need a battery to use this camera. After using a lot of SLR cameras, I can appreciate the compactness and light weight of the Olympus system. The viewfinder on the OM-2 is nice and bright, the default screen has only microprism to focus, which is not my favourite, I personally prefer the split image over the microprism, but the matte screen can be changed on this model. The OM-2 also have access to many good lenses, and accessories. I would recommend this camera to anyone who needs a 35mm SLR that is compact and light. The scale inside the viewfinder changes wether you are using the camera in manual or auto (aperture priority) mode. It's intuitive, and easy to use. CONCLUSIONThe Olympus OM-2 is an excellent compact SLR, just keep some extra batteries with you. Lenses are excellent, the system is compact, light and cheap. PHOTO SAMPLESVERDICT:
