INTRODUCTIONThe Nikon FM2 is a 35mm film SLR camera made in Japan by Nikon between 1982 and 2001. BEST SUITED FOR:
PERSONAL NOTESThe Nikon FM2 is one of the best Nikon camera there is. It has a mechanical shutter and works even without batteries, but I personally prefer to have an electronic shutter with the aperture priority mode. The batteries are so small anyway, you can bring some extra in your bag. The Nikon FM2 is simple to use, and well designed. The finder is big, it has a split screen to focus, and the shutter release is locked is you keep the film winder in is original position, nice. If you pay a bit more you can get the Nikon FA and get program and shutter priority modes too. The Nikon FA, FE and FM are about the same size, they are very good cameras and have access to classic lenses. CONCLUSIONThe Nikon FM2 will never run out of batteries, it is close to be one of my favorite Nikon cameras. Get either a FM, FE or FA, they all are excellent. PHOTO SAMPLESVERDICT:
