INTRODUCTIONThe Nikon F100 is a 35mm film SLR camera made in Japan by Nikon between 1999 and 2006. BEST SUITED FOR:
PERSONAL NOTESI like the Nikon F100. It's much lighter than the Nikon F5, and still compatible with all modern lenses. It has lots of features. The F100 has bracketing, rear curtain sync, matrix, center weighted and spot metering, 5 focus areas, depth of field preview, continuous or single autofocus, configurable timer, configurable autofocus button, AE and AF locks, custom settings, and more. As the F100 is a film camera, there is no big display on the back. So, in order to configure different features of the camera, Nikon added a CSM button, which stands for "Custom Settings Menu". Like its big brother the Nikon F5, the F100 provides custom settings to the user se he can configure features like : Bracketing order, film advance, meter timeout, AF activation, timer, and so on... With our digital cameras, we are used to this nowadays, but back in the days, the addition of custom settings was a breakthrough. CONCLUSIONThe Nikon F100 offers a lot in a small package. If you want to try film and already have modern lenses, if you want lots of features and do not want the size and weight of the Nikon F5, the F100 is for you. PHOTO SAMPLESVERDICT:
