INTRODUCTIONThe Minolta X-7A is a 35mm film SLR camera made in Japan by Minolta in 1985. BEST SUITED FOR:
PERSONAL NOTESThe Minolta X-7A is an aperture priority SLR, it has a very good finder and matte screen, it has access to incredible lenses and it all fits in a small package. The focusing screen incorporates microprisms around a split screen, similar to the Pentax ME, I like it a lot. The X-7A does not have all the bells and whisles like its bigger brothers, but it include all the features you need to go have fun shooting in aperture priority mode. You can also switch in manual mode at any time. I used mine with a motor drive, powered by 4 AA batteries, it felt old and ridiculous, but it was a blast of fun! CONCLUSIONThe Minolta X-7A is probably the best Minolta you can get for you buck. Excellent matte screen, aperture priority and manual modes, access to great Rokkor lenses, ect. If you want a 35mm SLR for cheap, this is one of your best candidates. PHOTO SAMPLESVERDICT:
