INTRODUCTIONThe Lomo Spinner 360 is a 35mm film panoramic camera that came out of the Austrian's Lomography movement around 2010. BEST SUITED FOR:
PERSONAL NOTESThe Lomo Spinner 360 camera is quite unique. You hold the camera by its stick underneath it with one hand, and you pull a cord woth the other hand. This spins the camera around. You control the angle of view with the length of the cord you pull, and you control the exposure with the speed at which you let the camera spin. Like anything Lomo, this is really approximate and is more an art than a technique. When spinning, there is a small slit that turns around the film while it is winding at thesame time, making a near constant exposure. The light exposes all the height of the film, producing photos with the sprockets of the 35mm within the image itself. This is cool. The Spinner is a cool camera, and like all lomo producs, you do a few rolls, then you get tired of it. CONCLUSIONThe Lomo Spinner 360 is a very cool camera, but its made for a niche market within a niche market. Panoramic lomography is not for everyone, but is very fun to plaay with. After a few rolls the fun fades. PHOTO SAMPLESVERDICT:
