INTRODUCTIONThe Holga 120 WPC (Wideangle Pinhole Camera) is a medium format pinhole camera. It makes 6 6x12cm images on one roll of 120 film. This camera appeared around 2008, and it's part of the Lomography movement that came from Austria. We can find it for cheap on eBay. BEST SUITED FOR:
PERSONAL NOTESLike any Holga, this camera is very light. It's also fun to use, provided you have a tripod and some patience. Being a pinhole camera, the aperture is very small, so the exposure times are long, you need the tripod, even during the day. A fun fact about this camera, there is no finder! No need for it. There are some pins on the top of the camera that you can use as sights to aim. They indicate the center of the photo and both sides. There is also a bubble level to make sure that the horizon line is straight. When you see your first photos from this camera, you understand that there is vignetting around the pinhole, you have to file some plastic in order to have the whole frame exposed. Being a pinhole camera, the image quality is low due to diffraction. CONCLUSIONThis camera is good to introduce yourself to both pinhole photography and panoramic photography. It's a nice toy, but you always get what you pay for. PHOTO SAMPLESVERDICT:
