Architecture

PERSONAL NOTES

For a medium format camera, the Fuji GX680III is huge, heavy, a bit complex when used for the first time, but offers something no other medium format camera can: tilt and shifts movements. Designed for studio work, you can still use it outside for architectural work. Like bigger view cameras, you can correct perspective, so your lines are straight, and you can also move the focus plane according to the Scheimpflug principle.

Comparison of the usual focus plane (left) with a moved focus plane done with tilt (right)i, aperture is the same.

A real view camera has wider movements and more control, but the GX680III is a bit smaller.

CONCLUSION

The Fuji GX680III is a nice camera to use and expirement with. Definitely an awesome studio camera for product shoots.
