INTRODUCTIONThe Contax RTS III is a 35mm film SLR camera made in Japan by Contax in 1990. BEST SUITED FOR:
PERSONAL NOTESThe Contax RTS III is a magnificent beast, a fine tuned machine that makes distinctive noises. It gives exquisite feelings to use one. The RTS III is fast, it has no autofocus, but, the split screen is very precise and fast to operate, one of the best I used. Like a Nikon D5, be careful when shooting bursts, you can fill up a 36 exposure film in a few seconds. The finder is bright, big, well lit, again, really one of the best finders I used. The RTS III has access to zeiss lenses, which are very sharp. If you use big apertures, just be sure to take your time when focussing, as depth of field might be really shallow. CONCLUSIONThe Contax RTS III is a one of a kind camera, probably the most advanced non auto-focus 35mm SLR ever made. It is a very nice experience to use one. Get one. PHOTO SAMPLESVERDICT:
