INTRODUCTIONThe Canon 50D is a DSLR camera made in Japan in 2008. BEST SUITED FOR:
PERSONAL NOTESA close friend gave me his camera for a few months so I can clean it. In the mean time, I had the opportunity to try it a little. I learned all the menus and buttons, they seem to be placed differently than where I expected. To use the power switch, for example, you need both hands. The compact flash door seems a bit too plasticky for my taste, but hey, this is not a high end camera. Let's go out and shoot! So, like many mornings, I went in the park nextdoor to walk and shoot, and I enjoyed the Canon 50D. Light, easy, a bit different than what I am used to, but still enjoyable and useful. For my personal use of a digital camera, there are a few missing buttons, but I have to say, for what you pay for a camera like this today, it's a very good deal. Being a bit old, the sensor dates from an age that latitude was not that great. I would compare this camera to a Nikon D200, only lighter and bigger images. I would recommend this camera for anyone who wants a really useful DSLR for cheap. CONCLUSIONThe Canon 50D was a good camera in 2008. Now, it's still a decent camera that can be bought for cheap.
